About / Mission Statement
About
Research Computing in Texas A&M San Antonio started recently through a startup fund from Counselor Research Initiative (CRI).
Our short term goals is to build a local knowledge and awareness about research computing and enable our users in TAMUSA to be able to utilize our HPC cluster resources, connect and collaborate with other researchers.
Mission
Our mission is to grow the HPC research community in TAMUSA, faculty, students and staff. We want also to collaborate with our local communities and expand the usage of research computing specially in San Antonio south side community.
Our Resources
Our first HPC cluster CAMSA consists of several GPU nodes in addition to high end CPU nodes. Currently, we are pursuing external grants to build a science-DMZ that will expand our users community beyond our local campus.
